When to visit

Early fall offers crisp breezes, bright sun and comfortable temperatures while late autumn and winter are good to catch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and holiday decorations. Winter is the coldest time of the year with snow and average temperatures between -3°C to 4°C.

JFK Airport is well connected to the NYC Public Transportation Network. For most connections to that network, you will need to take either the Jamaica or Howard Beach AirTrain to those stations. Finding your way around Manhattan is easier than in almost any other city because of the careful plan that was adopted for laying out the city’s avenues and streets. Getting around New York is part of the experience. The subway is cheap, efficient and simple to navigate while New York’s iconic yellow cabs are easy to hail. You could also catch an Uber or join a hop-on hop-off tour. Walking is a great way to see the sights and the best way to see Central Park is by bicycle. You can rent a bike for two hours and go solo or book an expedition through Central Park Bike Tours. There are ride share services, buses which you need a MetroCard for, train and the NYC Ferry.
