Barcaldine is a historic farming region in the far reaches of outback Queensland, located approximately 440km west of Rockhampton. The small town is a mirage of green in the middle of the outback with tree-lined streets and lush gardens and it’s full of friendly locals. The region is one of the largest cattle producing regions in Central Western Queensland and also has a productive sheep, wool and macropod harvesting industry with the prospect of mining.
