Hamilton Island is a car-free, though buggy hire is available and a resort bus service runs regularly to take you around the island. Hamilton Island Airport is only 1km from the town.

Hamilton Island is a car-free destination with buggies the main mode of transport. It’s best to pre-book a buggy to ensure availability when you arrive. There is a free shuttle bus that follows three routes around the island and runs regularly and it's easy to walk around the island with restaurants, pools and bars to try.
