A smart telco makes it easy for this auto parts importer to communicate with its customers and remote teams. 

“We had a record year of growth in 2020,” says John Bourne, the managing director of Australian Automotive Parts (AAP). “People were working from home, spending money on their project cars.”

The challenge? Keeping his team connected during lockdown. Luckily, AAP had engaged telco Vonex in 2019; this proved prescient during the pandemic, with the cloud-based Vonex Softphone app bringing the features of a desk phone to mobile devices. 

“We like that we can transfer calls between our warehouses, interstate and staff at home. Before, you’d take a message, ring someone interstate and say, ‘Can you call this customer?’”
