A city that boasts blue skies for much of the year, Perth is the perfect destination for families who love to combine outdoor adventure with big city entertainment. Surfing, swimming, sailing and enjoying your choice of 19 beautiful beaches are just some of the fun activities this amazing city has to offer. Perth also makes a great base for a day-trip adventure to picturesque Rottnest Island, home to the happiest animals on earth - the quokka. While Margaret River may be most famous for its wineries, there are lots of other attractions that make it a fun destination for families. It’s hard not to fall in love with the historic township of Albany. Situated on the beautiful blue waters of Princess Royal Harbour, Albany is rich in historic buildings, coastal walkways and beautiful beaches. Visit before 25 April to see the moving Field of Light; Avenue of Honour at the National Anzac Centre, a dazzling display of over 16,000 lights that pay homage to the Anzacs who departed from King George Sound. Journey to the southern forests and take the family on the world-famous Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk, where you're suspended 40 metres high above the ancienmt tingle forest.
