Qantas travel credits

If your booking has been changed or cancelled, you may hold a Qantas travel credit with us. Learn more about our different travel credit products and how to redeem them for your upcoming flight.

If you have booked through a travel agent they can assist you with your credit to book your next trip.

Types of travel credits

There are four types of Qantas travel credits: Flight Credits, Qantas Pass, Qantas TravelPass and Qantas Credits.

Qantas travel credit may be issued when the value of your booking can be retained for future use. Different conditions apply depending on when your booking was made, the type of booking you held, and why that credit was issued. You should always refer to the fare conditions of your original booking, as well as the  terms and conditions applicable for your travel credit.

When you’re ready to rebook your trip, you can redeem your Flight Credit online via Manage Booking for all passengers on the original flight booking, using the six-character reference (in most cases, this is the same as your original booking reference). If you no longer wish to travel with the same passengers, contact us for assistance.

If you have a Qantas Pass, Qantas TravelPass, or Qantas Credit, these virtual accounts store the balance of your credit and can be used as a payment method when booking your next flight at qantas.com on the Qantas App (simply select the ‘Qantas Passes or Credit ‘tab as your form of payment and enter the travel credit number and expiry), or through your local Qantas office. You will have received an email from us including your card number and how to access your account.

The easiest way to identify the type of Qantas travel credit you have is by logging into your Qantas Frequent Flyer or Qantas Business Rewards account and selecting 'See all bookings'. If you're the primary booking contact, you may also have an email from us detailing your travel credit details.
