With a multi-billion dollar investment in the Qantas Group fleet, we’re taking delivery of 169 new aircraft, including 3 x additional 787-9s in 2023, 29 x A220s and 20 x A321-XLRs from 2024, and 12 x A350s from 2025 as part of Project Sunrise.

The 169 aircraft is based on current committed Qantas Group orders between 2023 and 2030.

Leading the way in ultra long-haul travel

As part of our investment in fleet, 12 new A350 aircraft will be added in late 2025. Developed as part of Project Sunrise, it will enable non-stop flying from Australia to almost anywhere in the world, including from Sydney to New York.

An aircraft designed to redefine the way we travel, Australian industrial designer David Caon, Neil Perry and the Charles Perkins Centre, have worked together to ensure our A350s deliver a five-star flying experience with premium designer details and all new levels of luxurious comfort.

The A350 also sets a new standard in premium travel with over forty percent of the aircraft dedicated to our premium cabins.

Airbus A321 and A220

Our new Australian domestic fleet

We’ll also be renewing our Australian domestic fleet from late 2023 and are excited to announce the order of 20 A321-XLRs and 29 A220-300s, which will form the backbone of our domestic fleet.
