Qantas launches new price guarantee capability via the Qantas Distribution Platform

Shop with confidence and ease with a Qantas Price Guarantee for up to five days when you shop and book using Qantas NDC content. 

We’ve introduced a price guarantee of up to five days when agents shop and book content via the Qantas Distribution Platform.

The new capability, called the Price Guarantee Ticketing Time Limit, allows agents to sell bookings to their customers with confidence that the price* (including fares, taxes and surcharges) will not change for up to five days, giving their customers time to complete other elements of their travel, such as approvals and book accommodation.

The new feature also aims to reduce agency’s pricing workload by removing the need to reprice bookings that are ticketed before the up to five-day price guarantee expires. 

The introduction of the Price Guarantee feature is in response to agent and Technology Partner feedback and the airline’s continued investment in the capabilities of its NDC program, the Qantas Distribution Platform.

Qantas is one of the first airlines globally and is the only carrier in Australia and New Zealand to offer a Price Guarantee for NDC content.  

How do I access Price Guarantee?

The Price Guarantee will automatically apply to offers agents have selected for their customers and will be displayed at the time the order is priced and can be viewed in your Technology Partner’s system. A Ticketing Time Limit will still apply to all bookings made using a Technology Partner.

To ensure a Price Guarantee can be applied to your customer’s unticketed Qantas NDC orders, you will need to confirm with your Technology Partner that this capability is available via their system. You can also view the full list of each Technology Partner’s capabilities here.

Disclaimer: *The price, including the fare, taxes, and surcharges, is guaranteed on an unticketed Qantas NDC order before the Price Guarantee Ticketing Time Limit (Price Guarantee) expires. The maximum Price Guarantee is five days after the order is created and is subject to change. A Ticketing Time Limit also applies to all orders made using a Technology Partner. The Price Guarantee will always be equal to or less than the Ticketing Time Limit that will also be applied to the unticketed order. The Price Gaurantee and Ticketing Time Limit are communicated to the agent at the time the order is priced and will be visible in the order via the Technology Partner’s system.
