QantasLink is today resuming direct flights between Bendigo and Sydney.
These are the first flights for the region since April when the service was suspended due to COVID-19. The resumption of the services follow New South Wales re-opening its border to travellers from Victoria two weeks ago.
Services will operate five times per week, Monday to Friday, with the airline’s 50-seat Q300 turboprop aircraft.
The first direct service in 30 years took off last April, and was welcomed by the community as a gateway to the region for tourists, and a time-saver for business travellers.
Qantas’ “See More Australia” sale is on for one final day, inviting travellers to explore the best of their own backyard in 2021 and supporting the tourism industry’s recovery from COVID-19. Fares are on sale from $139 for Bendigo-Sydney until 11.59 pm tonight, 7 December 2020, unless sold out prior, for travel between February to June 2021.
