Early return of Perth-London service

Latest News|Published 6 May 2022

Qantas’ Perth-London service will return three weeks ahead of schedule. The route has been operating via Darwin since November 2021 due to WA border restrictions.

From May 23, the QF9 and QF10 flights that were previously operating between Melbourne and London via Darwin will return to operating via Perth.

The QF1 and QF2 flights that are currently operating between Sydney and London via Darwin will continue to do so until 18 June when they will return to operating via Singapore as scheduled.

As demand has reached pre-COVID levels, Qantas will return the QF9/10 flights to Perth from 23 May to be able to carry more passengers.

What does this mean for your customers?

If your customers are booked to travel on flights QF9 and QF10 between 23 May and 18 June 2022, please contact them to let them know their flight will now be operating between Perth and London.

For your impacted customers whose flight originates or ends in Darwin, where possible, we will be reaccommodating them on the QF1/2 flight which will continue to operate via Darwin until 18 June.

Please note, due to the strong demand and limited availability of seats, some passengers will remain on the QF9/10 and transit via Perth.

If your customer has been impacted by these flight changes, they will have the option to choose to cancel their flight and receive a flight credit or refund if they would not like to travel on the new booking.
