The Qantas Distribution Platform has the capability to deliver bonus Qantas Points and Status Credits offers for Qantas Frequent Flyers on eligible flights. These offers will be available from time-to-time and on specific flights, routes and destinations.
Bonus Qantas Points and Status Credits are in addition to the points or Status Credits* Qantas Frequent Flyers can earn on eligible flights^. When you include your customer’s Qantas Frequent Flyer number during shopping, the Qantas Distribution Platform provides the number of Points or Status Credits normally earned by your customer on an eligible flight and any bonus offers.
What do I need to do to access bonus Qantas Points and Status Credits offers for my customers who are Qantas Frequent Flyers?
When you are shopping for your Qantas Frequent Flyer customers, always include your customer’s Qantas Frequent Flyer number. This ensures the Qantas Distribution Platform will recognise your customer and provide the relevant offers available to them, as well as ensuring your customers maximise their benefits as a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program. You can identify where a bonus Qantas Points or Status Credits offer is available when you see 'QFF bonus Points' or 'QFF bonus Status Credits' in the shopping response. The level of bonus points or Status Credits that applies to the offer may also be shown in the shopping response.
Please check with your Technology Partner to understand how these offers will be displayed for your agency.
If the customer’s Qantas Frequent Flyer number is not included when shopping, bonus Qantas Points and Qantas Status Credits offers will not display and these offers will not be available for your customer, even if the customer’s Qantas Frequent Flyer number is entered when or after a booking is created.
What if my customer makes changes to their flight booking?
If a Qantas Frequent Flyer has booked a flight where a bonus Qantas Points or Status Credits offer has been applied, and the customer then makes changes to their booking, the offer may or may not apply on the new flight. If Qantas changes the flight where a bonus Qantas points or Status Credits offer has been applied and reaccommodates the customer on an alternative flight then the offer will apply to the new flight.
Does my customer need to register to be eligible for this bonus Qantas Points of Status Credits offer?
Please note that if you book a bonus Qantas Points and/or Status Credits offer for your customer via the Qantas Distribution Platform your customer is not required to undertake additional registration in order to be eligible. Bonus Qantas Points and Status Credits may take up to six weeks after completion of travel to be credited to your customer’s Qantas Frequent Flyer account.
Bonus Qantas Points and Status Credit offers for Qantas Frequent Flyers are only available to travel agents participating in the Qantas Channel, who are using content via the Qantas Distribution Platform.
