Methods of Payment

This policy outlines the payment methods accepted by Qantas for travel agents.

 

Payment for Qantas documents issued through BSP:

Qantas accepts a number of payment methods from travel agents for tickets issued through BSP that include:

  • Customer Card*
  • BSP Cash
  • EasyPay in eligible countries (please refer to our EasyPay Acceptance page for more information and global rollout dates)

Travel agents issuing Qantas documents  (tickets and EMDs) are required to facilitate card payments in accordance with IATA Passenger Agency Conference Resolution 890 – Card Sales Rules.

Qantas does not accept alternative methods of payment for travel agent settlement including Cards issued to/for an travel agent, or in the name of the travel agent or any person permitted to act on behalf of the travel agent for payment for the sale of passenger air transportation and ancillary services.  

Payment to Qantas Agency Connect:

  • EMD (FOP on EMD can be Customer Card or BSP Cash)

Payment for bookings made via the Qantas Agency Connect site:

  • Customer Card
  • Prepaid card
  • BPay
  • POLI

Payment to Qantas Group Sales:

  • Bank Transfers
  • EMD (FOP on EMD can be Customer Card or BSP Cash)
  • Customer Card for deposit only

For the purpose of this policy ‘Card’ means a credit card, charge card, debit card, pre-paid card, purchasing card, or air industry card in any form (whether physical or non-physical or “virtual”), including those issued by or carrying the mark of American Express, Diners Club International, Mastercard, Visa or Universal Air Travel Plan.
