Travelling with Pets
We understand that your pet is an important member of the family and, just like people, pets need to travel as quickly and comfortably as possible.
On Australian domestic flights, you can now book your pet travel at the same time as you book your own.
If you want your pet to travel on your flight, we suggest you make your pet's booking prior to making your own flight booking.
Only service dogs can be carried into the passenger cabin of the aircraft.
If you've already booked your flight and have your booking reference number ready, you can check availability on your flight for your pet. Note that the number of pet containers allowed on an aircraft is limited.
If your pet is travelling on their own, internationally or within 24 hours of departure, please call Qantas Freight on 13 12 13.
When your pet is travelling within Australia on the same flight as you, please book online.
For all international pet travel, please call Qantas Freight Customer Service on 13 12 13 within Australia.
