- Some countries now require customers to be travelling with a machine readable passport. It has been confirmed that South Africa, India and Colombia are imposing this requirement, among other countries. You should check with the embassy of the country you are travelling to for their specific passport requirements. Non-compliance can result in denied boarding.
- Children travelling to the Philippines who are under 15 years of age and are not accompanied by a parent or coming to meet a parent or parents in the Philippines must present a Waiver of Exclusion Ground (WEG). See the Philippines Bureau of Immigration website for more information.
- From 1 September 2015 visa applications to Kenya must be made online prior to arrival. Travellers are required to print their eVisa and present on arrival into Kenya. All applications can be made via www.ecitizen.go.ke.
- The Government of Canada has introduced a new entry requirement, known as an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), for certain international travellers when they fly to Canada. Under eTA, citizens from countries other than the United States (U.S.) who do not need a visa to enter Canada will need to obtain an online authorization before flying to Canada. From August 1, 2015, eligible travellers can apply online for an eTA. From March 15, 2016, this entry requirement will become mandatory and travellers will need an eTA before they can board a flight to Canada.
