Tamworth

Tamworth country music festival Lee Kernaghan

Overview

Tamworth is famously the home of country music in Australia. It’s also home to vineyards, warm rural hospitality and some of the freshest farm-to-plate experiences in the land.

This region lives and breathes country music - with museums full of artist memorabilia, a year-round concert calendar and the annual Tamworth Country Music Festival attracting visitors from all over the country every January.

Look beyond the music and you’ll find another side to this New England city. One with clear skies filled with stars stretching over verdant fields, produce shopped from farm-gates and the remnants of a rich gold-mining history.
