Frequent Flyers rewarded in program overhaul

20 June 2019

Today is an exciting day for our Frequent Flyers. We are announcing the biggest suite of changes to the program since its inception 32 years ago.

These changes will help every Frequent Flyer fulfil their travel dreams by increasing the number of Classic Flight Reward seats, reducing fees and expanding the number of airline partners you can earn and use Qantas Points on around the world. Plus, for the first time, we will be unlocking travel benefits for members who primarily earn points on the ground with a new tiered Points Club and recognising those who spend a lifetime flying with us by expanding our flying tiers to include Lifetime Platinum.

Disclaimer: * Carrier charges reduced on all Qantas and Jetstar International Classic Flight Rewards in all cabins (excluding direct flights to and from New Zealand and select Qantas flights to and from the South Pacific).

Temporary suspension of Jet Airways (9W)

3 May 2019

Effective 18 April 2019, Jet Airways has published a notice about the temporary suspension of its flight operation.  As a result, Qantas Frequent Flyer members can no longer earn Qantas Points or book Classic Flight Rewards on Jet Airways flights.

Retrospective claims for travel up to 18 April 2019 on Jet Airways can be made via email to frequent_flyer@qantas.com.au.  You'll need to include original boarding passes and copies of tickets, along with any other supporting documentation confirming your entitlement to the missing points.

Important information

You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer to earn and use Qantas Points. A joining fee may apply. Membership and points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions.
